Are you a senior citizen veteran or widow(er) of a veteran with a monthly income less than $1,493.00 and cash assets less than $3,200.00?
Are you a married senior citizen veteran with a combined income of less than $1,975.00 per month with cash assets of less then $7,000.00?
Note: House(residence) and vehicle are not counted as assets.
If so, you may be entitled to SUPPLEMENTARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.
OR
Are you a veteran or widow(er) of a veteran with an income of less than $1,733.00 per month and cash assets of less than $3,000.00?
Are you a married veteran or married to a veteran and your combined income is less than $2,333.00 per month and your cash assets are less than $7,000.00 per month?
If so, you may be entitled to REIMBURSEMENT OF YOUR MEDICAL EXPENSES and/or FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE under Massachusetts General Law chapter 115, which is an entitlement to benefits based on your or your spouse's military service.
Call your city Veterans Services Officer, listed in the Taunton Veterans Department main web page, 508-821-1042, to arrange for an interview.
It is the law that the Veterans Service Officer must take your application and forward it to the Massachusetts Department of Veterans Services.

THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMMITTEE ON ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE HAS VOTED TO PROPOSE PARTIAL FEE WAIVERS OF UP TO $2,000.00 PER SCHOOL YEAR (MAXIMUM $8,000.00 FOR FOUR YEARS) FOR RETURNING MASSACHUSETTS VETERANS WHO SERVED POST 9/11/01 IN EITHER IRAQ OR AFGANISTAN.
