Duties & Responsibilities
The Department of Public Works led by Commissioner Fred Cornaglia and Asst Commissioner Anthony Abreau coordinate the construction and repair of all city streets. Their team of quality professionals work in concert with the Mayor of Taunton to seek Federal and State revenue that will complement the local funds necessary to provide a modern roadway system for the citizens of Taunton. They are also responsible for leading a team of public and private snow fighting professionals to keep our streets clear in inclement weather.
