Duties & Responsibilities
The Mayor is the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Taunton. The Mayor works in concert with business and industrial leaders and economic specialists to create a beneficial atomsphere that will foster economic development of our community.The Mayor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of municipal government. The Mayor is also responsible for the creation of and the administration of the municipal budget along with the Budget Director.
The Mayor works in concert with the directors of the Department of Public Works to oversee
the repair and construction of the roadway system throughout the community.
