The Community Relations Program administers emergency non-heating utility assistance as well as in state emergency long distance transportation and childcare arrearage assistance to individuals and families who have experienced an emergency situation. The applicant must provide documentation for the reason for the emergency as well as verifiable income and expense information. Individuals/families who do not have verifiable income are not eligible for this program. This program serves residents from the City of Taunton and the towns of Berkley, Dighton and Raynham.
The above assistance is provided by funds awarded to the Taunton Emergency Task Force, Inc., by the United Way of Greater Attleboro/Taunton, Inc., Community Impact Program. The Emergency non-heating utility assistance, in state emergency long distance transportation and childcare arrearage assistance is subject to funding.
